Beaver Flats Apartment Building

Year Built: 2002   

Client: Whistler Housing Authority

Beaver Flats Apartment Building is a 57 unit Apartment building built for the Whistler Housing Authority as rental units. together with the design team Glacier Creek Contracting was able to help design a building that was years ahead in it's technical innovation. This building won multiple separate awards, and grants due to its Technologically Advanced Building Envelope design. This building included Geothermal Heating and Cooling, 2lb Spray-foam and a self adhesive house wrap membrane that had the Air Changes of approx. 1 @ 50Pa.

Pioneer Junction 12-Plex

Year Built: 2004

Client: Individual Owners

Pioneer Junction was a 80 unit Townhouse complex that included 3 12-Plex buildings. These buildings were heated and Cooled by Geothermal and had a central underground propane gas distribution system.

The Chiyakmesh - Lot 6 Athletes Village

Year Built: 2009

Client: WDC Development Corp.

The Chiyakmesh is a 55 unit Apartment Building that was built for housing the athletes for the 2010 Winter Olympics (and later renovated to become rental units for the Whistler Housing Authority). This building runs on District Energy Heat Exchange and has an elevator and in floor heating in the lobby. The timbers erected on the roof and entrance of the building were salvaged from Stanley Park after the enormous windstorms that year. This building won the Georgie for the Best Public/Private Partnership.

The Springs - Lot 7 Athletes Village

Year Built: 2009

Client: WDC Development Corp.

The Springs is a 34 unit Apartment Building that was built for housing the athletes for the 2010 Winter Olympics (and later renovated to become units for purchase through the Whistler Housing Authority). This building runs on District Energy Heat Exchange system and has an elevator.
